Military Intel Warned Obama Admin of ISIS 17 Months Before Obama Deemed it a ‘J.V. Team’

Despite claims to the contrary, new documents obtained by Judicial Watch indicate that the Obama Administration knew the attack in Benghazi was planned well in advance.

A September 16, 2012 memo sent from the Department of Intelligence (DIA) and copied to the State Department, the National Security Council, the CIA, and others. The memo concluded that the attack on Benghazi was planned at least 10 days in advance. It was also noted that the attack was set for September 11 to commemorate the attacks on the World Trade Center and was to serve in retaliation for a June 2012 drone strike that killed a major Al Qaeda figure.

A separate August 5, 2012 memo, also issued by DIA, warns of the rise of ISIS and the eventual establishment of an  Islamic caliphate if security conditions continued to deteriorate. The memo states:

This creates the ideal atmosphere for AQI (Al Qaeda in Iraq) to return to its old pockets and Mosul … ISI (Islamic State of Iraq) could also declare an Islamic state through its union with other terrorist organizations in Iraq and Syria, which will create grave danger in regards to unifying Iraq and the protection of its territory.”

The above memo was received 17 months before before President Obama called the terror group “a J.V. team.”
